Become a core part of the PopShops team and drive the development vision of PopShops.com, the largest cross-network database of affiliate products on the Internet. We're looking for a track record and proven expertise in database, some search experience, and experience with (or an interest in) Ruby on Rails.
This position will give the right person ownership of some unique challenges regarding database/web server performance, search, and scalability.
PopShops.com's first-in-class affiliate power tools aggregate millions of products from thousands of online merchants. Our service consolidates disparate and inconsistent product feeds into an up-to-date, searchable, and high-performing database. Our users create and deploy custom showcases in a variety of web environments and expect them to perform flawlessly through huge ranges in traffic.
We are looking for a skilled developer who has demonstrable skills and experience working with the back-end/performance aspects of a large-scale, database-intensive Ruby on Rails application. You will have outstanding technical qualifications and can demonstrate pride in ownership, flexibility, great communication skills, and a passion for high-quality code resulting in a rock-solid user experience.
