"How do I get paid?"

You get paid directly by the networks and merchants

Unlike some services that may seem similiar, with PopShops you get paid 100% of your earnings because the networks pay you directly. We do not take any percentage of revenue nor any of the credits for your sales. You keep it all.

Why this is good

There's a big trade off to shop-building services that don't require you to sign up with merchants. When you are not the active affiliate, then you are usually acting as a sub-affiliate to that shop-building service. That means that the shop-building service keeps as much as 50% of your earnings. When you have your own relationship with the networks, you:

  • Keep everything you earn
  • You can negotiate special terms with merchants for your performance
  • Your performance information remains private between you and the merchant/network
  • You develop long-lasting B to B relationships that you can use as you build your businesses

You need to apply to each merchant

We've tried to make this easier for you by allowing you to click into the programs as you're while you're browsing your products by adding links right into the merchant browser. Look for the following icons when you find a new merchant that appeals to you and click it to learn more about the merchant and program.

Commission Junction (Commission Junction)
LinkShare (LinkShare)
Performics (Performics)
Red Galoshes (Bridaluxe)
ShareASale (ShareASale)

How to know your clicks are being counted

If you know that you have an active relationship with a merchant, and have an affiliate ID on file for that merchant, then you can feel confident that your clicks are being counted. Here are some ways you can audit the clicks.

  • Do a cookie test. Clear your cookies and make sure that a new one is being set when you click a link. Get details from your affiliate manager on which cookies should be set
  • Check your network stats. Make sure that you are getting credit for clicks, impressions, and sales

The links all say PopShops, but they are really affiliate links

As you hover over a link, you'll notice that they follow this link structure:
http://www.popshops.com/redirect/436/2649465/birthday-bonsai
But if you click the link, you'll see that it redirects to the correct landing page (provided you have an active relationship with that merchant and an affiliate ID on file).
